In this tutorial, I’m gonna show you how you can easily install a hotspot in your LYF Jio Phone F220B model. Yes, install a hotspot again. After Jio Phone’s new update LYF-F220B-001-02-34-170919. OmniSd stop working on every LYF Jio Phones after this update.
Because the loader is stopped working after this update. This is method will be a little bit difficult for some users. That’s why you need to follow the full article Carefully.

Jio Phone was launched middle of 2017. It’s run on KaiOS HTML5 based Firefox OS. This phone only supports 4G networks, not for 2G or 3G sim. By the way, Jio Phone only supports for Jio sim card. No other sim card will support this phone. The featured phone powered by 1.2Ghz dual-core SPRD 9820A/QC8905 Processor. This phone comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a micro SD card.

Unfortunately, it has not a hotspot feature. So, I am here to show you, how to install a hotspot/omnisd feature on Jio Phones after the new update. Follow all the steps carefully.
Install Hotspot in Jio Phone F220B, 2020 working method:
To install hotspot in Jio Phone, we have to do two major things-
- Downgrade the LYF Jio Phone F220B.
- Install Omnisd.
- Install JGHotspot
Pre-Requisites
To install hotspot in your LYF Jio Phone you need to maintain the following requirements for your Phone’s safety purpose.
- This method only works for LYF Jio Phones F220B model, do not try to flash other phones.
- At, first you have to downgrade your LYF Jio Phone because the current operating system is not supported Omnisd application.
- Then we will install Omnisd in Jio Phone F220B.
- Keep your device battery charged up to at least 50%.
- Take a complete backup of your device data, because after flashing you lost your all user’s data.
- So, follow the steps carefully.
- Remove your sim card from your phone, because your phone starts downloading the updates automatically. Once we are usefully installed the hotspot in Jio Phone after update the phone hotspot will work.

Instructions to install Hotspot in Jio Phone F220B:
Install Hotspot in Jio Phone after the November updates, it is not easy. A few months ago it was easy to process, just install the Omnisd via Qfil Flash Tool. But, now this process does not work anymore.
So, if you want to install a hotspot in your Jio Phone, first you need to Downgrade your LYF Jio Phone.
Downgrade LYF Jio Phone F220B
- Download the files: At first, all files above download links are available, download these files: F220B Downgrade Firmware, build File, Omnisd File, JGHotspot, Qualcomm USB Drivers and QPST Flash Tool.
- Extract the Files: After downloading the files, now extract the files in the Desktop folder.
- Install Drivers: Now, install the Qualcomm USB Driver for connecting the Jio Phone F220B to the Computer’s environment. Drivers must be installed properly because flashing won’t work if you are not installed Drivers Properly.
- Install QPST: Install the QPST Flash Tool for downgrading your LYF Jio Phone F220B.
- Reboot the Computer: This sounds like nonsense huh! but sometimes flashing may be shown an error. So, I recommend rebooting your computer.
- Add build file to the firmware: Now, extract the build file (password- techforus.in) and paste it into your LYF Jio Phone’s Downgrade firmware: At first, goto F220B firmware> boot_images>” build” delete this build file.
- Then copy my build file and paste it: F220B firmware> boot_images> paste here.
- Move the Firmware into C drive:After that copy the whole F220B firmware folder and paste it:
- 32bit users Local Disk (C):> Program Files: > Qualcomm: > QPST: > Paste here:
- 64bit users Local Disk (C):> Program Files(86): > Qualcomm: > QPST: > Paste here:
- Flash the Phone:Now we are at the final stage to downgrade the Jio Phone. Open Qfil Flash Tool:
- 32bit users
- Local Disk (C):> Program Files: > Qualcomm: > QPST: > bin:> QFIL.
- 64bit users
- Local Disk (C):> Program Files(86): > Qualcomm: > QPST: > bin:> QFIL .
- Double click on QFIL to run the Program.
QFIL Setup: Select build type: Meta Build ✓
Click on the Load Content button and select the content.xml file:
32bit users
Local Disk (C):> Program Files: > Qualcomm: > QPST: > open Firmware folder:>contents
64bit users
Local Disk (C):> Program Files(86): > Qualcomm: > QPST: > open Firmware folder:>contents .
Double click on contents to load the program.
Now click on the Download Content button to begin flashing.
Install Omnisd
Great we just downgrade your LYF Jio Phone F220B. Now we are installing Omnisd in LYF Jio Phone F220B.
- First, open the Omnisd file.
- Then go to File.
- Now, copy all the contents from the File folder.
- And paste these contents in: for 32bit users C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\QPST\F220B Firmware\common\build\bin\asic\sparse_images> paste here.
- 64bit users C:\Program Files(86)\Qualcomm\QPST\F220B Firmware\common\build\bin\asic\sparse_images> paste here
- Now, Open Qfil Flash Tool from C drive.
- 32bit users
- Local Disk (C):> Program Files: > Qualcomm: > QPST: > bin:> QFIL.
- 64bit users
- Local Disk (C):> Program Files(86): > Qualcomm: > QPST: > bin:> QFIL .
- Double click on QFIL to run the Program.
Select build type: Meta Build ✓
Click on the Load Content button and select the content.xml file:
32bit users
Local Disk (C):> Program Files: > Qualcomm: > QPST: > open Firmware folder:>contents
64bit users
Local Disk (C):> Program Files(86): > Qualcomm: > QPST: > open Firmware folder:>contents .
Double click on contents to load the program.
Now click on the Download Content button to begin installing the Omnisd.
Install JGHotspot in Jio Phone:
Now, this is the final step to install hotspot in Jio Phone
- Download the Hotspot app.
- And put the Hotspot.zip application to a specific folder: SDcard/downloads or internal/downloads.
- Now, open the Omnisd application on your phone.
- Refresh and then click ok on Hotspot.
Great! You just installed a hotspot in your Jio Phone after the phone’s new update.

Lyf-F220b-003-01-45-051119 build is not rooting -flashing for downgrading omnisd
Make sure you installed the Qualcomm USB driver’s properly on your system, then download my build file and paste it into the F220b downgrade flash file.

I tried to extract or open the file but it is showing the same message.

Redownload the file. Disable windows defender before extracting the downgrade file. I think your windows defender deleted some files that way the problem occurred.

bro i have successfully installed omnisd and jghotspot. but after downgrading jio sim not work properly. so i update my F220B to the latest version. so jio sim error fix. but now hotspot not working i.e i am able to connect to jiophone via hotspot but does not have internet. if you have any solution pls reply Thanks
